Three Floors of Living Space

With three floors of living space, The Lodge comfortably accommodates large groups without losing its cozy charm. The master bedroom with a king bed and an adjoining bathroom are on the main floor, along with the newly remodeled roomy kitchen, dining room, game room, laundry room, and living room. The game room includes a full-size pool table, TV, and DVD player with WIFI connections, chalkboard wall, checkers, and games galore. Use the front porch for taking in the relaxing cool mountain breeze, while reading a book. Use the back yard with firepit and grille for roasting S'mores and hot dogs, also connected to the main level of living space.

The upper level of the lodge has two bedrooms with a shared bathroom, including a queen bed and smart TV in each bedroom. The lower level includes two bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and the other with three bunks beds (4 twins and 2 doubles). A full bath and TV area with cable is also located on the lower level.

For those who need electronic entertainment, The Lodge has Wi-Fi and cable TV on two televisions, one on the main level and one on the lower level. Newly added heating and cooling systems will make your stay more comfortable. Or to enjoy the fresh mountain air, turn off the units, open the windows and doors and enjoy the cool mountain breeze. It's your chance to get in touch with Mother Nature and disconnect from the world.

There are new bed linens and towels and The Lodge can accommodate 16 people. It includes one king bed, three queen beds, two double beds, four twin beds, and three bathrooms. The Lodge is within walking distance from The Bethel House, The Bird House and Hawthorn Haven Chapel, the perfect place for extra-large groups, weddings, and retreats.

Additional Information

THERE IS NO SMOKING AND NO PETS PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. - There will be a $300 charge if there is a sign of smoking or having a pet.

There will be clean towels and linens in the unit for your stay. There is a Charcoal Grill available to use for your grilling and S'more cravings.

The kitchen is fully stocked for your cooking needs including a Keurig Duo drip coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc. The pots, pans and other cooking utensils must be washed and put away prior to your departure.

All garbage must be removed from the unit at the end of your vacation. Garbage must be taken to the dumpster located onsite. On the refrigerator are directions.

We stock the unit with 1 roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, a roll of paper towels, couple of trash bags, dish soap, hand soap and some cleaning supplies to start your vacation. You will need to buy more for your stay once these are used.

Directions: You should get to Hawthorn Road itself using GPS, just fine.
1. After turning Left onto HAWTHORN ROAD
2. Continue Straight on pavement for 0.5 miles- Point of View Drive, DO NOT TAKE a left (gravel) on Hawthorn.
3. Continue straight up Point of View drive until you CROSS THE 1ST SPEED BUMP.
4. Turn LEFT onto the gravel road AND GO THROUGH GATE (next to the barn with fence and 2 mailboxes, sheep, chickens)
5. IF, you cross the 2nd speed bump and reach HILLS OF CATALOOCHEE sign, you have gone too far!
6. The road will y after you pass the barn, STAY LEFT.
7. Please Park in the designated area for your suite to assure people can pass beside you to get to the other cabins.
8. Please do not park in the grass.
9. Your cabin will be the first on the left.
10. Please park beside and in front of the garage, allowing cars to pass behind you.
11. To enter the Lodge, step up onto the main porch and enter with keypad through the double doors.
Check-Out Instructions:
1. Remove all trash from rental and place it in the dumpster located on the property- (We have wild animals, please don't invite them!) Unfortunately, we charge a $50 fee if this is not done.
2. Set thermostats/heaters to 61 degrees (fall/winter months)
3. Leave the cabin in a similar state to how you found it—tidy up, but no deep cleaning.
4. Leave slept-in beds unmade (don’t worry about stripping them).
5. Empty the refrigerator of perishable or expired items. You may leave frozen items, newly purchased condiments, or factory-sealed foods for future guests. (Use your discretion.)
6. Wash, dry, and put dishes away. *Guests are welcome to leave a load washing in dishwasher.
7. Check for any personal items (Did you check closet, bathroom, shower, and under beds?)
8. Clean BBQ if used.
