Rustic Living in a Tranquil Setting

The Bethel House at Hawthorn Haven Cabins & Chapel is a true log cabin comfortably nestled in the mountain woods and offering simple, rustic living in a tranquil setting. This beautiful log home has enough room for large groups but is still cozy enough for intimate retreats. Sleeping 10, this is the perfect place to get away from city life and get in touch with nature again.

Relax by the Firepit or in a Rocking Chair

Relax by the huge fire pit outside or on the large porch with rocking chairs and hot tub. Visit the nearby barn that includes chickens, goats, our donkey and Great Pyrenees. If you are planning a wedding, consider the small, country chapel hidden in the nearby woods. Turn off the AC and open all of the doors and windows to take in the fresh mountain breeze.

You'll be a short walk from The Lodge, a perfect place for extra-large groups, weddings, and retreats. Enjoy our pool table, air hockey, board games, and Wifi/cable TV if your daytime excursion gets rained out. The Bethel House accommodates 10, which includes 3 queen beds, and two full beds, and four bathrooms.

Cathedral Ceilings, Large Windows and Plenty of Room

The main floor of the cabin has high-beamed ceilings with large windows and a great room. Enjoy the cozy wood burning fireplace while cuddled up to watch your favorite movie on the 55"Smart TV.  Both bedrooms on the main floor have open truss ceilings with a queen bed and an adjoining bathroom. A wraparound deck surrounds the great room and both bedrooms on the main floor. 

On the lower level, there are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The library bedroom has one Queen bed, surrounded by books galore and its own attached bathroom. The other bedroom has two full beds. Updated linens and bedding are an important part of our cabin experience.

The Main Level Master bedroom and Library bedroom have a smart TV, so feel free to login to your Netflix account and enjoy that series you have been watching. Both main and basement levels have openings to their own porches to enjoy the mountain surroundings. Relax in the 4-6 person hot tub, located on the lower level porch while taking in the mountain views.

Additional Information

THERE IS NO SMOKING AND NO PETS PERMITTED  UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. - There will be a $300 charge if there is a sign of smoking or having a pet. 

There will be clean towels and linens in the unit for your stay. Charcoal grill is available for you to use, for all those grilling and S'more cravings.

The kitchen is fully stocked for your cooking needs including a drip coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc. The pots, pans and other cooking utensils must be washed and put away prior to your departure.

All garbage must be removed from the unit at the end of your vacation. Garbage must be taken to the dumpster located on the refrigerator are directions. 

We stock the unit with 1 roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, a roll of paper towels, couple of trash bags, dish soap, hand soap and some cleaning supplies to start your vacation. You will need to buy more for your stay once these are used.
